Reopening – How we can continue

I would like to begin by saying a heartfelt thank you to you all for your continued support as we go through this difficult time. I have been overwhelmed by your kind messages and offers of help and I hope in the future I may be able to take up some of those offers!

As you are all aware, our session times have been changed yet again by the Sports and Fitness Centre. My main problem with accepting this new time is getting enough qualified teachers on poolside, as some understandably have prior commitments.

The plan

I have given this a lot of thought over the past few weeks and there is one option which may enable us to continue, and I would like to gather your feedback.

This option is to pay our teachers for the sessions they teach. We have some of the best teachers in the area and by taking this route would enable us to attract more teachers of the same quality, that can commit regularly and reliably to our sessions. The payment I am proposing is fair based on the skill level of our teachers and would like to attract others of the same level.

In order to achieve this I have calculated the increase in cost to you, our parents, would be £5.00 per month, per swimmer going forwards assuming the majority of our swimmers return.

I would really appreciate it if you could all respond to me as soon as possible and let me know whether you agree to this increase or whether it is a route you prefer we didn’t take.

This will give me an answer very quickly as to whether this is feasible or whether I need to look at other options.
